O.Convertor
Fix a PDF or convert a subtitle file without leaving the browser tab
Forpeople who fix and convert PDFs now and then Web
Ten seconds is all it takes to cut two pages out of a PDF, once you have uploaded the signed contract to some website. O.Convertor's small file tools run inside the browser tab and ask for no account. According to the site, the work happens on your own computer, though the processing parts need an internet connection the first time they load.
Text copied out of some PDFs pastes as a row of garbled characters. The repair tool lets you pick a font and compare original and corrected characters before exporting a fixed PDF. PDF to Markdown turns the text layer into headings and paragraphs, and a ZIP download keeps the embedded images in a separate folder. It works only on PDFs with selectable text, so scans first need text recognition (OCR).
Outside PDFs, the set converts EPUB books to PDF and subtitle files between SRT, VTT and other formats. It also pulls the audio track out of a video and opens CBZ comic archives with saved bookmarks. The translation entry in the menu links out to O.Translator, a separate site for translating PDF and Word files.
Good fit if you…
- work on contracts or other files you would rather not upload
- need a quick PDF, e-book or subtitle conversion now and then
