The meeting starts in five minutes, and the preparation is still a note that says "prepare". The follow-up email waits until tomorrow, or the day after. An AI chat could help, but it does nothing until someone opens it and types a request. Floatboat turns this around and uses your calendar as the start signal. Each event can start an AI agent, which reads what the event is about and prepares material before it begins or drafts the follow-up once it has ended.

Every event opens a workspace that keeps its files and the history of each run, and you can change the instructions or run a single step again with another model. Models from several providers come built in, so you need no API key of your own, and an automatic mode switches provider when one is overloaded. Access to connected apps and local files is granted per event.

Ready-made skills from a store turn, for example, a voice note into a slide deck or a sales call into a follow-up email. FloatIM, a separate part, is a group chat where several agents running on a Mac split up a task and return the results as files. The pricing page says files stay on your computer, and the app runs on Mac, Windows and UOS, a Linux system used in China.
