ping123
See what websites learn about your connection and check your VPN for leaks
Forpeople on a VPN or proxy who want to see what still shows Web, API
Your VPN app shows a green "connected" badge, while the browser may still be handing your real address to websites through a side channel. On ping123 you see what a site sees when you arrive, starting with your public IP and its rough location. It also names the network that owns the address and whether that is a home line or a data centre.
A risk score from 0 to 100 adds up warning signs, such as a spam blocklist entry or a computer clock set to another time zone than the IP. Two tests look at the usual gaps around a VPN. The DNS test shows which servers turn web addresses into numbers for you, while the WebRTC one asks four servers which public IP the browser's video call feature gives out.
For ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and TikTok, ping123 estimates how normal your connection looks to each platform and checks your region against their official lists. The guide to this score says it judges the connection alone, so it cannot promise that you will be able to sign in.
A separate page holds network tools, an SSL check and WHOIS included. Its DNS lookup compares the answers from mainland China with those from abroad, and the port check only tests the IP you are visiting from. The about page says the site runs on Cloudflare Workers without a database. It opens without sign-up, and in a terminal `curl ping123.app` returns your address while `curl ping123.app/json` gives the full report.
Good fit if you…
- want to check whether your VPN hides your real IP
- need a quick SSL, DNS or WHOIS check in the browser
