At home, the original singer is louder than you on every line of the song you are practising. Vocal Remover Online splits a recording into a vocal track and an instrumental track, both as WAV files. For signed-in users, fal.ai runs the split in the cloud with Demucs, an open-source separation model. The instrumental mixes everything the model finds besides the voice, like drums and bass.

Without an account, a simpler preview works inside the browser. It separates the middle of a stereo mix, where vocals usually sit, from its sides, and allows two uses with ten minutes of audio per browser. Mono recordings have no stereo sides, so this preview cannot make an instrumental from them.

The copyright page reminds users that separated tracks keep the rights of the original recording. After the split, the chosen track can also replace the sound of an MP4 or WebM video, for files up to 200 MB and ten minutes. Seven small editors cut and join audio or change its pitch and speed locally, with no sign-in.
