ThumbnailsMaker

After a week of filming, the video still has to win a one-second glance from someone scrolling past. ThumbnailsMaker builds five thumbnail drafts from a single brief, so you can compare ideas before you pick one. The brief can be a few lines about the video or a YouTube link, and the drafts are put together from your own face and footage.

Each draft follows a different hook, the reason a viewer would stop and click, like a specific number or a before-and-after. A Designer Pass check removes drafts with clickbait words or a repeated idea, and a note under the row gives the reason. Draft text can be rewritten in place without a new run. The chosen thumbnail downloads as a file or goes to YouTube as a draft.

Output is 16:9 at 1280 by 720 pixels, and formats for Shorts and Reels are marked as coming. Briefing and choosing happen in a desktop browser, while phones and tablets only show past drafts. Next to the tool, the site publishes a Hook Library of seven thumbnail patterns and a quarterly magazine, Click Zine.
