Nizlo
Keep an eye on your customers' computers and fix them from a browser
ForIT service firms and small in-house IT teams Web, Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android
The first warning that an office computer's disk is full often comes as a phone call from the person using it. Nizlo is a browser console for in-house IT teams and the outside firms that run IT for small businesses. It shows the health of the Windows and Mac computers they look after, sorted by customer and site. The trade calls this RMM, short for remote monitoring and management.
A small program on each computer connects outward to Nizlo, so no firewall ports need opening. From a computer's record, a technician can start a remote desktop session or run PowerShell commands. Patching covers Windows Update within set maintenance hours, and other applications' updates need another tool. The security page says each privileged job is signed by the server and tied to one device.
Ticketing is built in and comes with a customer portal. A separate product, Nizlo Backup, encrypts selected Windows files before upload and restores them into a different folder, which leaves existing files untouched. Connectors to other IT systems are all marked as preview and mostly read data, while the Slack one sends alerts. The site calls the product Windows-first, and its Linux agent is a monitoring preview.
Good fit if you…
- look after computers for several client companies
- run IT for one company and want tickets next to device monitoring
