Makeup tutorials show the finished look on somebody else's face. Whether it suits yours, you find out at the bathroom mirror, with the cotton pads ready for a retreat. Lookslate shows six looks, from Soft Glam to Evening Glam, before and after on AI-generated sample models, so you can compare them first. A sample preview needs no account or upload, and it downloads as an image.
Each look comes with three steps and shade suggestions meant for what is already in your makeup bag. Colour tips come from the colouring you enter for yourself after the preview, matched against a shade table. The choice is limited to six set looks, and the tips name shade families instead of brands.
After signing in, you can take a selfie or upload a photo and see a look on your own face. The site warns that the AI can still change a feature, and it says so before an upload when own-photo previews are paused. The privacy notes say a saved result, photo included, is deleted after 365 days unless you remove it sooner, and anyone with its link can view it.
