HVI
Do truck and machine inspections on a phone and turn defects into repair jobs
Forfleets of trucks and construction machines Web, iPhone, Android, API
A roadside inspector asks for this week's inspection sheets, and they are somewhere in the cab, under yesterday's lunch. Paper sheets go missing like that, and a cracked hose written on one often reaches the workshop days later. HVI replaces those sheets with a phone and web app for trucks and construction machines. Each check follows a checklist with photos and voice notes per item and ends as a signed PDF report.
US trucking rules ask drivers for a daily inspection report (DVIR), and HVI comes with ready-made checklists for it. A part marked for repair becomes a mechanic's work order in one click.
Services come due by calendar date or by meter reading. With a telematics system such as Samsara or Geotab connected, engine hours and fault codes flow in from the vehicle itself. Fuel card purchases are matched to each vehicle as well.
The pricing page lists AI features for maintenance scheduling and work order routing in a separate top tier sold through the sales team. The app is available in several languages, including Spanish, French and Hindi.
Good fit if you…
- still collect daily vehicle checks on paper
- want repair jobs and service dates tied to what drivers report
