Hexaciv

Since 1 January 2026, a longer French residence card or French citizenship comes with homework. Applicants have to pass a civic exam in French, and a fail means booking and paying for another sitting. Hexaciv's mock exam follows the official format of 40 questions in 45 minutes and needs no account.

The result shows a score for each theme, and every question then gets a correction with the ministry sheet that holds the answer. Each correction can be read in Arabic or English, with a button that puts the French original next to it. The question bank covers 504 of the 507 knowledge questions published by the Ministry of the Interior, the site says.

The ministry lists come without answers, so Hexaciv writes the options and explanations from the cited sheet, with help from AI. The 12 situational questions of the real exam are never published, and the site's 100 practice scenes are labelled as its own writing. Its methodology page says it compares the 155 cited ministry sheets with its stored copies every day.

The site shows a "GO" once your last two different mock exams reach 34 out of 40, two points above the official pass mark. The refund page promises a full refund to Pass holders who reached that GO and still failed the real exam during their access period. Hexaciv is a private service independent of the French state, and the real exam is booked at an approved centre.
