Capvant
Send one funding request and compare business loan offers from several lenders
Forlimited companies in the UK and US that need a loan or working capital Web
Is this a fair loan offer? That is hard to tell when it is the only one you have. Business owners who need a loan tend to apply to one lender after another and fill in a new form each time. Even when an offer arrives, they have nothing to compare it with. With Capvant, one short request goes to the funders in its network that match it. Offers come back side by side with rate and total cost, and the owner picks one or none.
Capvant is a broker, and the funders pay it a commission when a business takes an offer, the terms of service say. It promises that comparing runs on a soft check and that a funder only runs a full credit check once the owner goes ahead.
The second part of the site is a score for every UK limited company, from 1 to 99 in five risk grades. Capvant builds it from Companies House records and filed accounts. Owners can claim their company's profile to see the score, and Monitor sends an alert when the grade moves. Suppliers can look up a customer the same way before they agree to payment terms.
The footer says Capvant is not regulated by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority. UK sole traders and ordinary partnerships cannot apply yet.
Good fit if you…
- want several loan offers for your company without filling in a form for each lender
- want to see how lenders and suppliers might rate your UK company
