wordradar
Spot search phrases on the day they first appear, before other sites write about them
Forindie makers who build small sites around search terms, and their AI agents Web, API
By the time a search phrase shows up in keyword tools, other sites have already written the page for it. wordradar's daily record catches new phrases people type into search boxes, each with the date it first appeared and a label for brand new or climbing again.
A second list holds new websites posted to Hacker News, a news board for programmers, with a flag for free hosting. For any term, a score from 0 to 100 estimates how hard the first page of Google would be to reach. It weighs forum posts, big brands, free subdomains and page depth in the ten current results. The docs call the weights uncalibrated and fit only for comparing terms.
All of it comes through a REST API, and an AI agent can fetch the same data over MCP while it plans a site. During the beta, accounts need an invite; the radar page still shows anyone the top 20 rows of each public board. A summary endpoint of the ledger answers without an API key.
Good fit if you…
- build niche sites and want terms nobody ranks for yet
- let an AI agent do keyword research through MCP
