tta1
Hear articles and X threads read aloud, translated first if you need another language
Forpeople who would rather listen to long reads than read them on a screen Web
You know the moment when a long report arrives and all you have is a phone and tired eyes. Reading it on that small screen is hard going. With tta1 you paste a link or the text and hear it read aloud in one of 30 voices, and the site says audio starts within a few seconds. For a piece in a language you do not read, you pick the language you want to hear, and the text is translated first.
From a web page, tta1 keeps the article body and drops menus, ads, cookie banners and comments. A link to one post of an X thread brings back the author's whole thread in order, without anyone else's replies. Uploads take PDFs, scanned ones too, and up to 20 screenshots in your order. Pages behind a login or paywall cannot be fetched, so their text has to be pasted in.
Good fit if you…
- follow long articles or newsletters while walking or commuting
- want to hear foreign-language articles in a language you read
