On a new hire's first day, the laptop is often ready and the logins are not, because each account was set up by hand in another system. In Workato that sequence becomes a recipe that starts on an event like a new HR record and then creates the accounts in the other apps. Recipes are put together in a visual editor, or AIRO, Workato's AI assistant, drafts the steps from a plain-language description.
The current homepage leads with AI agents, which run on the same platform as the recipes, as do the MCP servers that give AI assistants access to company apps. Admins decide which connectors each team may use and set usage limits, and risky AI decisions go to a person in Slack or Teams. Software companies can also build Workato into the products they sell to offer integrations.
