Dozens of names come up when you look for an AI agent that fills in web forms, with no clue which of them still work. AI agents are programs that carry out a task on their own instead of only chatting. AgentScout collects them in a searchable directory, which the site says holds 1,778 tools in 30 categories. Filters narrow the list by pricing model and open source, and results sort by stars or ratings.
The site says links are re-checked daily and promises no paid placements in the rankings. Each tool page carries a short description that AgentScout writes from the official site or README, followed by alternatives and the date of the last link check. For open-source projects, the about page sets a bar of 500 GitHub stars and an update within six months.
Visitors unsure where to start can take a four-question quiz on task, skill level, budget and open source, or put any two tools side by side on the compare page. The tools page holds 18 calculators and generators that run in the browser, including a token counter. A read-only MCP server lets Claude and other AI apps search the directory, and new tools go out in a weekly newsletter.
