A customer calls to ask where their order is, and the warehouse has never heard of it. Missing invoices, or an order that never reached the warehouse, are often the first sign that a link between two business programs has broken. Over the years a company collects many such links, each built a different way. SAP Integration Suite builds and watches them in SAP's cloud, between SAP products and to software from other vendors.

Most of the work happens in integration flows, the step-by-step routes a record takes from one system to the next. Teams design and monitor them in a web editor. More than 3,400 prebuilt integrations cover SAP and third-party applications, e-government services included, by the count on SAP's pricing page. AI proposes which fields match and can draft a flow from a written prompt.

For trade with other companies, Integration Advisor holds templates for industry-standard EDI messages, the fixed formats businesses use to swap orders and invoices. Trading Partner Management keeps each partner's profile and agreement. Event Mesh passes business events between systems as they happen, so a new order in one program can start a process in another right away.

Flows are designed in SAP's cloud but can run in a company's own data center through Edge Integration Cell, without routing the data through the cloud. API Management publishes and secures a company's interfaces and flags unusual traffic. It can also offer chosen APIs to AI agents as MCP servers, with access rules and usage logs.
