Orkas

One chat window does the research, another writes the text, and you are the person copying each result from one to the next. That is how a market report made with AI chat tools often comes together. In the Orkas desktop app you describe the goal once. The Commander, its coordinating agent, turns the goal into to-dos and hands them to specialist agents for research, writing, slides or video. Finished files go into a project on your computer for you to check.

Sixteen specialists come with the app, and a marketplace offers more agents and skills. Coding agents already installed on the computer, like Claude Code or Codex, can join the same plan as local sessions. Each project keeps a memory along with its files, so a new chat starts from them instead of a fresh brief. Tasks can repeat hourly, daily, weekly or monthly while the computer is on.

Orkas can run the models for you, or you connect a key from OpenAI, Anthropic or another provider. With your own key, calls go straight to that provider, and the security page says keys are encrypted on the device. Installers exist for macOS and Windows, and Linux users build from source. The packaged app needs an Orkas sign-in, while the source build can run offline against a local model.
